Who We Are
WHY WE EXIST
We are all storytellers.
Not all of us pen novels or write screenplays.
But we are all telling stories through our everyday lives.
Stories of finding our place in the world,
stories of overcoming fears and doubts,
stories of survival and perseverance,
stories of love and loss,
stories of rebirth and redemption.
This begs the question then: What story does your life tell?
What kind of story do you find yourself living in?
Sometimes, we don't always know.
In our search for meaning and purpose, we can get a little lost along the way.
We can wonder if our story even matters, if we even matter.
But what if we were more intentional about the stories we pursued?
What might happen if we went on a journey that helps us better navigate life,
where we’ve been,
where we are,
where we want to go and how we can get there?
How would your life be different if you returned from this journey with greater clarity and direction?
I believe that no one should feel lost in their own story,
which is why I created the Live A Meaningful Story program:
to be your guide towards telling and living your story more meaningfully.
Welcome to All Things Narrative, where your story matters.

Over the last 16 years, I (Derrick) have been teaching in various contexts, including:
Homeschool Organizations
Microschools
Afterschool Programs
Community Workshops
Retreats
Churches & Youth Ministries
Recovery Groups
Homeless Shelters
The central theme running through my career has been storytelling, whether it’s teaching people the art of telling their life stories, bringing stories to life on stage, analyzing fictional stories, or studying the stories of the Bible. My approach to education has always involved creating a safe space for people to share freely about their lives without judgment.
In 2019, I began incorporating Narrative Therapy Practices into my work, leading me to acquire a Master’s in Narrative Therapy and Community Work from the University of Melbourne in partnership with the Dulwich Centre.
In 2020, I was on a team that helped a nonprofit tell their story through a virtual gala that helped raised over $500k.
I have also been awarded and featured in several publications for my work with youth and storytelling.

We offer 2 coaching programs. The Art of Storytelling (formerly known as ‘Live A Meaningful Story’) is our personal development program that equips participants with a well-rounded toolkit for telling their stories.
Our Signature Story program focuses on professional development, and is aimed at helping speakers writers, and entrepreneurs communicate their stories more effectively.
Both programs can be experienced in a group cohort or 1-on-1. We offer coaching both in-person (in South Florida) and virtually.
Our time together will feature a combination of discussions, activities, and teaching. During the week, I will send you additional resources and check-in with you for accountability.
We first recommend doing a free 30-minute consultation to see if All Things Narrative is a good fit for what you need. So if you are interested in wanting to better communicate and live your story more meaningfully, then definitely reach out to us!
If you are interested in coaching sessions a-la-carte for specific projects, please reach out to Derrick.
